You can only make the instrument that you have high level in. Except piano. You can't make a piano.
So... I don't know if this is a glitch or a thing that can be done. I built a new sim family and one of my other sims came to their house to say hello. My old sim pulled out his guitar to play, and I was just getting ready to click on him to invite him in the house. I clicked the guitar and practice was one of the options. So I clicked it. My new sim took the guitar from my old sim and started playing. My old sim left his guitar at the house, so now my new sim has it. As it turns out, I can build another, but I didn't know sims could "borrow" like that.
I've had that happen too, actually it's nice for gardening too, you can bring some high quality plants over to a neighbor sim so they can plant them in their garden. :-)
Plants? How do you do that?
