If you hold the Shift key while you click on object on build/buy mode, it will keep appearing on your cursor, so you don't have to click on the object in the catalog over and over again.
For eg:
Without holding Shift:

You can also rotate it while doing so.
Best discovery ever. Yet watch me not remember it next time I play.
See that's happened to be before in TS3 and TS4 I thought it was just a weird glitch. Glad to know its not.
