I've made my simself many times when ts3 first came out. She's the one in my picture. She does have some similar traits to me but i've played her for so long I don't really think of her as me. She's just a sim that i've grown super attached to.
As for making other real life people in my life I find it really creepy to play someone I know or have them in my game. My brother-in-law once made the whole family, including an updated version of myself. He would get (jokingly) mad that I refused to play them. Shortly after I deleted them entirely. I have made a few celebrities but not in years. Even then I wouldn't really play them. I just liked to create them.
