I have several versions of my simself as I have used them for different story telling versions (eg. child, young adult, adult etc) - on a particular thread here eg. a sims party because I was unable to have friends and family for a real one. I never really use them as a main character except for Strangerville - seeing my simself run around infected was a scream and something that could never happen in real life - so it feels one step removed from me. I only played her one other time to pair her up with another sim I made. But I dont want to play her as a legacy character or full save sim.
MCC pulls in my gallery sims as townies and I enjoy seeing which sim she will marry and have children with randomly. Mostly I dont notice her aging or dying as she has nothing much else to do with my main sims (my choice - they dont pick my simself as romantic partner or friend). I made my little brother to playtest a room challenge but got very sad when in a game as a townie he aged and died - so I never made my parents or sister as I cant bear to see that happen to them.
