Thoughts on Non-Wedding Confetti (Tigers, Peacocks, Masks, etc.)

I'm curious about everyone else's thoughts on the confetti that isn't wedding related. I think the tiger confetti could be related to the fact that the Year of the Tiger begins on the 1st of February...
