I put a ticket out on Answers HQ but i want to ask if anyone else has had an issue with time freezing on 3x speed when using the gyms at Willow Creek and Oasis Springs? Time freezes after when i switch the game to 3x and all animations get stuck on a loop and i can't click on anything. This has started to happen for me after the recent base game update. It never happened before.

I rolled back a save and the same thing happens at both gyms i tested. In my current save and the previous save there are two different stayovers active when this time bug does occur so i wonder if that could be conflicting with the time? I tried a vanilla save with no mods or CC and the time bug doesn't happen on a fresh save. @Brd709 How is it that you have two active stayovers? I thought you could only have one event at a time. When scheduling an event, if the Starlight Accolades are active, it usually grays out the time for the Accolades. Maybe try ending the stayovers, go back to the gyms this issue took place, and see if anything changes. You also said in a fresh, vanilla save the issue didn't occur, and you only use MCCC. Were the two stayovers active in the vanilla save? Have you changed anything time-related in MCCC settings? You may need to make sure MCCC is up-to-date.

Next time you get the call, try declining and see if that helps the time bug. The fact that it's not doing it with a brand new, vanilla save usually indicates a mod issue or a corrupted save. I haven't had a lot of time to play in the last few days because I've been working but I haven't gotten the Eleanor bug so far. Like others have mentioned I've had the time bug but I just assumed it was my mods.

In my current save with mods after the stayover, i sent my sim self's teenage son Jacob to the Gym in Willow Creek and game time went as normal without freezing. I will organise another stayover with someone else besides Eleanor and see if the same bug occurs.

I've heard using speed 3 only makes the games simulation lag worse. That's when you really start to see issues with head bobbing, time slowing, sims freezing in place refusing to do anything. There are two mods that help with simulation lag but don't fix it completely. I'm using these mods and trying to avoid speed 3. Check out this Sims Community page:

I set up another stayover just now with someone else besides Eleanor Sullivan. Once this stayover started, i sent Jacob to the Gym in Willow Creek and the time froze again. This does not happen when there are no stayovers planned.

My game just freezes from time to time. I've been putting it down to a lack of space or RAM on my laptop, but now I'm wondering about that patch, since that's when this trouble began. :open_mouth:

I feel like they were too quick to move your bug report over to the mod/cc issues section... yeah there is a known issue with MCCC time settings at present, but it seems you also found something else stayover-related

Did you try a stayover in your vanilla save? Does the issue still happen then?

Started a new save last night and the freezing issue is gone. I don't own Growing together so it wasn't stayovers causing it in my game, but could just have been a too bloated old save. Don't have the MCCC mod either.
