Slightly confused why people think there's an issue with there being knitted clothing in this pack. We've always had knit sweaters in the game.
As for what's in the pack, there's the Murphy bed (with new animation) AND new combo objects AND a whole system around the tiny houses themselves.
Indeed. Knitted clothing seems like an odd thing to get in an uproar over.
Because there is a group on here that simply just love to complain for the sake of complaining. It’s always the same exact people, many of whom have stated on other threads that they haven’t played S4 since release or shortly after, who are alway on the S2 & S3 threads but come over here as soon as there is a new pack trailer and start dropping negativity bombs into the middle of everyone’s threads. It’s the same group who built an entire complaining thread about DU one day after the 2 minute trailer was released and we still didn’t really know anything about it, but at least then they basically kept there negativity to themselves.
Then if you go into their negative thread and defend S4 or suggest they at least wait until there’s more info they’re insulted. How dare you bring your positivity into our negative thread? Even though we don’t think twice about tearing apart your positive ones. Calling you sellouts, and implying you’re destroying the franchise because you enjoy this iteration of The Sims. It’s old, and it’s tiresome. They don’t like S4, they never have like S4, they never will like S4 no matter what the devs do with it or don’t do with it and that’s fine. What I don’t understand is why they have to leave the threads for the iteration they do like and play to trash those of us are happy with this game.
I really had to get that off my chest. ?
And we are in an uproar about them pulling a item that was clearly meant to be in DU only to slap a price tag on it. Some of us see through this utter nonsense, but if you rather pay $10 for the heck of it , go ahead.
How were Murphy beds "clearly meant to be in DU"? Because for some strange reason -- in spite of the rarity of Murphy beds in university dorms -- they were included in past University packs? Murphy beds -- *double* beds with mechanisms that can break -- aren't things that are common in dorms. Just because they were included before, in spite of lack of relevance, doesn't mean they were "excluded" this time. They certainly are significantly more relevant to "tiny houses" than to universities.
As for the spiral staircases and bunk beds that would also make sense in tiny houses, whatever development it is that they require doesn't fit in the SP format from a production standpoint:

Personally, I believe that spiral staircases should be a free patch objects. There's simply no one kind of pack they make sense in, and even if they come alongside a pack, they should be patched in for everyone.
As for bunk beds, those would have been a *great* addition to University and would have made actual sense. They're a real thing in dorms, at least the version where there's a raised bed with a desk underneath it. But if they're too big for an SP, just how empty would a GP or EP end up feeling because of what else couldn't be done? I believe they too should be handed over to the free-stuff team, not part of *any* pack.
