I think the fastest way, from my experience is to mentor another sim at the gym if your sim has level 10 body skill. Or perhaps other stuff that you can mentor like chess where you need a level 10 logic.
That might be a bit hard, so I suggest just try to keep the conversation pleasant and also tell some jokes here and there.
Thank you this is great! My sim is actually level 10 in body skill so guess I'll be mentoring my future friends!! Plus they ALL go to the gym.

I usually click the Interactions like 'Get To Know', 'Deep Conversation' etc. These kinds of Interactions seem to add quite allot of points to the Friendship Bar. You should also try increasing your Sims' Charisma Skill, having Traits like Outgoing and getting Reward Traits that affect other Sims positively can also aid you a great deal.

I'm like Prink34320 .. I use Friendly meet, and then use the " Get to know " ' Deep Conversations ' and ' Discuss Intrests ' .. and your pretty much there with the friendships.
Mmm I haven't tried deep conversation so much . I'll try it .
Thank you everyone :)
