Today I bought the Sims digital deluxe as a gift for my mom and sibs& what even comes with base game
Hear me out.
I got this game when it first came out, because sims 3 couldn't run on my laptop, and I had literally sunken like 70 bucks on packs and then found that out after a lot of EA troubleshooting. So I've had this game since it came out. I own every pack, even the ones I didn't even really want. Little obsessed with the sims. I got the free stuff from signing up when it first came out, and all the little things they had us do.
Here's my problem, the game has changed. And that's cool. But are they gonna get the free stuff that we got? Like do new players get the holiday free stuff kit? Will they have to reload the game to get it if so? What about grim's guitar? Does that page/link still work?
So that's my question. But also, does anyone remember what base game was like? Was it super fun? It was first Working sim game, not counting the facebook one. But all I really remember about it was how buggy it was, and how excited I was to play and get new packs. And that I kept getting abducted, I never get abducted anymore.
I was like so excited when I decided to give it to them. But is it even the same game if you have all the packs vs if you have none? Like what did I actually give them? To be clear this is not me talking down on base game, this is me trying to remember what features are in basegame, so that I can talk them through play and stuff.
