Today I Learned

After how many years of owning TS4, I never knew that if you held your mouse over the world icon, a cute animation would appear.
I've never noticed. Not once. I was zoning out and saw one by complete accident!

I love noticing new little things!

I’ll share on I noticed a few months ago. If you hover over a sim’s skill bar in their list of skills, it will actually tell you the percentage of that skill you have done each time it fills up for each level.

I have one too that I learned yesterday.
If you are holding down the right mouse button to move the camera, holding down the shift key will make the camera move faster.

I just wish there was a key to make it move slower.
Sometimes the camera moves too fast at higher elevations.

You realize, of course, that now I'm going to have to try that. As for learning new things, I've shared in a thread I created about a discovery I just made (which was a few weeks ago, now). By clicking on the edge of the drink platter (after you've had your Sim pour a platter from the Globe Bar) you get the option to call Sims to take a drink. :) I do wish we could do that with the tea and coffee pots, too. Wouldn't that be a nice add?
  • whoa thanks @Hazelly I'm definitely going to try that with my toddler... toddler POV! everyone's knees! :)

A small warning, if you suffer from motion sickness avoid the Play interaction while in POV. It was one of the first things I did when that feature was added. Thankfully, I don't suffer from motion sickness.

I learned when teenage girls see their best friend they squeal in excitement. That may be due to a mod or the Close-Knit/Ask to Be Confidant lifestyle and interaction. It may also be like that with other sims, but I only noticed it with my teenage female sims. I thought it was cute.
