Toddler Bed is the best seat in the house

Anyone else have this issue?

The toddler bed is the most used seat in the house. Doesn't matter what chairs are closer, everyone comes in to sit on/eat on/read on the toddler bed. Doesn't matter what is closer. What is more comfortable.. everyone convenes in the toddlers bedroom because everyone tries to go sit on the bed and only one can fit at a time..

I considered just putting the bed itself it it's own room and locking it for everyone except the toddler, it gets a little ridiculous

Is the toddler bed more expensive then the chairs? I heard they prefer the good stuff. No one sits on my toddler's bed unless they are reading the toddler a book to sleep.

no, I picked a couch and living chair that are more expensive, but they still prefer the toddler bed. It's just weird.

My sims will take food out of the kitchen, pass up the dining room table, wall thru the hallway, walk thru the living room - passing the couch, to go in the toddler room to sit on the toddler bed to eat.

It's more than a little ridiculous.

They do it with everything. Food, books, homework, to talk... really hope they fix it soon.
  • Oh yes. It is. And if it is full they sit on the child's bed right next to the toddler bed. I am learning the art of how far away to make every adult walk so the child or toddler can actually get *into* their own beds around all the hovering adults. This takes helicopter parenting to a new literal level!

Just use the toddler bed as all seating surfaces in all rooms.
  • It isn't happening in my game either, But if a toddler is eating their meal on their bed and another toddler bed is empty an adult will go and sit on the empty one.
I hope they fix this glitch soon for everyone having it.

I have the same thing with sinks, they don't use the kitchen sink though its the most expensive and nearest, they walk all the way to the bathroom and use the cheap sink there. :s
  • Yes!!! My sims pass an entire dining room and kitchen of furniture that is much more comfortable to sit on the toddler bed and I can't figure out what is so special about it. I once had three sims in my toddlers room all eating at once while the little dude just sat there playing with blocks having a convo with all 3 of the bigger sims. Poor little guy didn't get to eat until almost 10 that night because everyone was to busy talking to each other and eating in this tiny room and no one took the time to remember the kid needed to be fed too.
  • I posted about this issue too. Just sit at the plum table already! There's a reason I have a dining room, and I expect them to use it. I don't need my kids going up a flight of stairs to eat in Mom's bedroom because she's reading in there. They don't have time before school for all of that. Ain't nobody got time for that! :D

Those space saving computer desks are terrible. They put their dirty plates on the top of the hutch. I can't figure out why the bedroom smells bad, and it's because someone put their plate up there.
  • I can't believe this is still a thing. I get they prioritize socializing and will eat their food in the same room as other people if possible, but it's just so awkward.
