True, you could wait for a sale, but the Sale Price should have been the base price. And half of the Store items ended up in Expansions in due time, ripping you off doubly, but there was no way of telling which they'd be. That sounds pretty lazy to me. Common items were t-shirts, tables and chairs. Not exactly what I call inventive.
No, the Store's not the ONLY alternative, but thinking in terms of EA looking to make money, Stuff Packs are the only other offer for quick extra content that they'd make.
I don't remember seeing store items coming in eps. I own virtually all of the store and all sps and eps. Half of the store is quite a lot of items, so I am sure I would recognise at least a few things if they had been added to eps. Can you give me some examples please?
Personally, I loved the store. It was great fun watching out for daily deals and new sets coming out and I had masses of stuff for free with the CYS feature. And they had quite a bit of free content anyway and also gave away sets for free sometimes on Christmas Day. I spent a surprisingly small amount compared to how much stuff I ended up with.
