I tried this and it works with locking doors, but not so much with economy. Both families have common cash account, so you would need to have your own system on the side to keep track on income and costs. I play these two families less devotedly because of this, I don't want to keep track on every single minor money transfer. It's easier say if two singles have separate parts of the house, but in my case there are 2 families each of 4 family members.
