The problems with townie generation are why I've turned to MCCC's custom population settings. However, I still find myself seeing lots of households with moms and their kids...but no dads. Not every family has to have both parents, but I don't really see the game generating households with single dads or married couples with kids. If there's a family, more often than not, it's a single mom. At least I was able to tweak things to decrease the odds of the game generating Elders and Adults, though. More YA, Teen, and Child sims for my young sims to interact with.
