Traits causing the game to glitch

Question

Ah man it's not a new pack w/o its annoying fresh out of the box glitches am i right fellow simmers lol!

Todays glitch is, anytime i choose the new traits suddenly my game weirds out and it does this weird thing where it changes all my simmers names and then the whole traits and personality UI starts glitching out and freezing. multiple traits are overlapping one another and not showing up in the slots or too many are appearing at once.

@Skr0ala I think this may be the reported bug that is related to the Growing Together extra traits system. It happens when you use the cas.fulleditmode cheat to edit a sims traits. Some people on the EA Answers forum said that deleting notify.glob in your Sims 4 folder fixes the issue temporarily.

I'm not sure if you use mods or if you use any UI mods but if you do try taking them out, deleting localthumbcache, and restarting the game.

A few have been updated. I know Better Build/Buy was causing issues before being updated, as well as UI Cheats extensions.

If you don’t use mods, you may want to see if AHQ has a thread open about your issue.

Sounds like a broken mod. The recent prepatch broke some mods which is normal. Take out your mods folder and then test again. If it works without mods then you know it's not a game issue. I suggest checking out the Broken/Updated Mods & CC thread. CTRL + F key (Windows) to search for key words. If any mods you're looking for aren't listed then check the creators website.

Keeping up with your mods after patches can be annoying but necessary. If you're not a mod user then I would report the issue to Answers HQ.
