This, 100%.
I think that this game has so much potential to be fantastic, but I think that the Sims team should listen to players and adapt accordingly.
While I love and appreciate modders for all of their hard work, as a console simmer I find it concerning how much work modders end up doing to make the game more fun, interesting, and engaging. Why is it up to modders to plug in the holes? I understand why That mod or Basemental Drugs stuff isn’t in game, but we need Slice of Life and Meaningful Stories to improve upon what’s already there? Really?
I do not envy where the Sims team is right now though. If they do begin to make the game better, and improve upon it’s foundation— they’ll be stepping on a lot of modders toes in the process.
