That is fun! If they have a hobby like painting or photography, taking pictures or painting from reference can be a nice way to keep busy on vacation and have some beautiful images when they get home.
Musical instruments are good if the sims like music, to entertain one another and to earn a little income in tips if they need to.
With the computer just remember you'll need to put it on a table with chair, or counter with barstool, to use it. Most worlds have picnic tables or similar in the neighborhood terrain, or you can hop into any bar or library and there will be table space.
