Tray: What Is A Blueprint File?

Hi, I foolishly deleted my Sims4 game folder that I had purposefully dragged to my desktop in order to have a back up. :open_mouth: It was certainly something I could place under "Madhatter Moments". I decided to take a look at my flash drives looking for it, just in case. What I have managed to lose, silly me, is a build I was particularly fond of. I couldn't find the folder on any of my drives. But, I recalled my Plumbob flash drvie from Sims3. Finally, found where I'd placed it and lo, and behold, what should I find stored on it? A Tray and a saves folder. I took a quick peek at the Tray, knowing this is where builds and Sims created by me can be found. I see many HOUSEHOLD files, but then there's one marked Blueprint file. Could this be a build? Is this what I should look for. I don't wish to lose the Tray I have currently, but I will return the 'lost' build should I find it and any other build I didn't realize I'd lost. But there's quite a few items in this Tray.

Can anyone tell me if it's the Blueprint I should look for? Please, and thank you, in advance.

Also, if this is the wrong forum please let me know which one I should post in in the future. :)

  • Lots use several different file types, blueprint files are just one of them.

I think the easiest thing to do would be to drag your current tray file somewhere else, move the old one in, place the lot you wanted somewhere (you could make a new save just for this if you needed to), then save the game and exit. Get rid of the tray folder and move the one you wanted to keep back in, then load that save and save the lot back to your library.

Thank you! That certainly sounds easier than what I was planning! I have a couple of saves that are build only. I'll use one of these, then save it to My Library. Odd how one build can make you crazy, no? I shall have a merry time laughing at myself, should I find it and not really love it as much as I did thinking it was gone forever. LOL
  • FOUND IT! Yay! Uploaded it to My Library while the current Tray was in my game. Now, I can delete the other two Trays with no worries! Thank you AGAIN. @Cupid
