Well when I tried one of the challenges, the broke single parent challenge, I figured out several different ways to make money. My sim had to keep alive herself and her toddler on zero dollars. So my first idea was to dig for stones/treasure, and harvest plants in Willow Creek...which started me off having $73 dollars, enough to at least feed them. Then I went digging in Oasis Springs which help me accumulate a few hundred dollars...then I would harvest in other worlds. I then discovered programming at the library, which if your sim levels up, your sim can start hacking accounts like Landgraab systems and other systems. My first hack brought in $450 dollars. Later your sim can create apps and video games, your sim then gets royalties for the apps/video games. Then when my Sims were at least comfortable and living in a subpar apartment, I started making my sim write books as well, which brought in daily royalties as well. On a good day w my sim hacking and writing/app royalties would bring in over two grand a day...I was able to get up to $40,000 within 2 days of committed game play to buy a house for them, so it’s not impossible to make lots of money.
