Trouble with dj booths?

Try talking to the DJ - it will interrupt their work and when they come talk to you cancel that and click on the DJ booth - the option to play it should be there.

Yeah I still didn't have the option to play music...until I cheated my sim up to level 2. Now she can play just fine. Weird.

I have this exact problem glad it's not just me only one I can use is the one in the spin masters secret room of the discotheque (basement if you haven't found that)

I thought you have to be at least level 2 in order to use dj booth on public lots

Yeah it seems like a bug. Some of them are working on community lots and some are not. Once I cheated that sim up that seemed to work for her, but for another sim I had to kick her up to level 4 to get it to function. I think I'm going to try to replace all the dj booths on lots I'm having trouble with see if that makes a difference.

You have to first DJ at home first, I think they put that in so they get more confidence in DJing. So your sim has to get to level 2 (I think) before they play on other lots.

It kind of makes sense because they are terrible at the beginning.

I've recently started having a problem where my DJ is on the lot but not in the booth mixing. There is no way to summon him by clicking on the booth and I can never find him on the lot. It happened twice at a venue and once on a residential lot.
