Trying to get a ghost to move in

I need to get my sims dead husband to move in as a playable ghost, they have quite a high relationship but there is no option to move in, I cannot propose as the option is greyed out with the message that only household ghosts can marry. I know the relationship is not maxed, but ive been able to get living sims to move on far less. any ideas?

  • Finally! I had to completely max out both before I got the option to Invite to Household, that was hard work!

  • They said in the twitch broadcast, convincing one to move in was difficult. They weren't lying. The one ghost family I've been building was a bear.
  • I had mine fully at 100% and it still look spamming friendly interactions for the option to come up. Also, married sims are no longer considered married when one partner dies. I had to go through the entire romantic process again from boyfriend/girlfriend to engaged to wedding ceremony. Thankfully, that part was easy.

Also kids and teens who die and come back as ghosts come back failing school (or at much reduced grade level if they aren't failing), which I don't think should be happening. Hmm. Yeah, I'm going to mention that later in the ask a guru thread.

Oh jeez we have to send them to school? Lol I don't think I want a ghost-child anymore
  • Having a ghost child taken away by social services is kind of a bizarre notion. But sending them to school is rather bizarre, as well.
  • Sims 3 child ghosts all went to school and did the things normal sims kids did, too.

Really? I never had any child ghosts. I didn't play the game all the much, really. I kept family ghosts in the backyard but never brought them back to life or had them join the family.
  • I didn't know you could have child ghosts on the Sims 4...

I'm having the same issue with a ghost that works in the hospital with one of my Sims. He's actually not even appearing as a friend in her relationships
