- Mods can really change your game. I canāt play without MC Command Center. Meaningful Stories by RoBurky is another good one. LittleMsSam has a lot of great mods. Thereās a lot of great ones out there. Good Luck!

Lol, I don't know if you're ever going to get through all these suggestions, but if no one else has mentioned it, maybe you should try screenshooting and telling stories with your sims, or actually, letting them tell their stories. I took a Sim to the romance festival once, and 35 chapters later I'm still writing about he and his husband that he met that night.
There are threads her on the forums where you can talk about them, you can post one screenshot, or a dozen! And just tell us what happened that day!
The other thing I've done that was Super fun was create a Master Painter and have him move in with families for a few days and paint portraits of them, and their bedrooms, and yards etc. He got to know all of the families really well, and every home is now custom decorated!
I don't want to take credit from @Butterfreeguy , but I don't know if he's been in here yet. He did something super cool. He switched husbands/wives with two couples, because he didn't like the husband in one, or the wife in the other. Now he has a couple that he really likes! I thought that was so cool that I'll probably do it myself!!
I highly recommend it to anyone! ^_^- ck2137 years agoLegend

Never forced myself to play something I dont enjoy so I dont understand these threads. Honestly seems like an obnoxiously passive aggressive way of complaining about TS4. Just stop playing.
While I can see why you feel like that, some people whoāve only played the game a little over a year still have hope in changing their play style and making the game interesting. Some people havenāt played the game 5 years like others and we want to experiment and change our play styles to make the game as interesting as possible. I guess in short thatās why these threads exist :/
Ignore them. :p
It's the only game of its kind.
You clearly like it, want to enjoy it, and are trying to find the joy others have found.
The game isn't done, so it may get more exciting with extra content.
You paid money for it. - A lot, and I can't stress it enough, A LOT of mods ;)
But seriously, i totally understand you, it became boring for me too some time ago (I've been playing The Sims from beginning and TS4 is really dull in comparison to other sims games). These days I mostly build, I find graphic of TS4 better than previous games, so it is good for that purpose.
As for a real playing/story telling maybe try to make some challenges for yourself, like for example playing with one family until you have X (insert number ;) ) generation, having a family that achieved highest level in all careers or making a non-human dynasty of some sort. You can try to remake some of your favorite books/series/films in TS4 or make a family, post it online with some short backstory and ask others to give you challenges.
I hope you will find the way to enjoy it better :) - Simburian7 years agoSeasoned AceI just go back to building houses when I get bored with the Sims in-game itself. I'm waiting on the next pack as I don't have as much imagination as some Simmers here but have added a few followers since the Freebie base game offer!
I realise I have a bit of an addiction to Sims games to the extent of neglecting other stuff so now only play at certain times and you might find doing other things for a while is better for you. - taydevsim7 years agoSeasoned AceIf itās an endless cycle of boredom with TS4 then itās likely time to play another game entirely.
- I had an interesting time trying to devise a plot out of elements of the game packs I owned but hadn't played yet (or had played very little). For me, this included:
1. Alien families
2. A vet clinic
3. Owning a dog
4. Keeping bees
5. The gardening career
6. Skeletons
I came up with an alien prince who "lives" on Sixam but finds Earth life fascinating and wants to study it. Also, I'm making a self-imposed rule that I can't constantly switch between aspirations (maybe limit it to two or three) and no speeding up during skill gaining. This part of the game gets the most boring for me, because I try to rush my Sims' success instead of just enjoying their lives in the moment. Then it turns into a game of "let's watch the bar go up." Which isn't fun.
EDIT: It has occurred to me that an alien world would have completely different holidays. I might just wipe the calendar and make up a bunch of new ones. :) "Mindsimscreate;d-959770" wrote:
Hello simmers, I know many others have already discussed this, but I keep getting bored with sims 4 and am wondering if anybody has any ideas to help make it more interesting. Thanks ?
Cheats Mods and CC
What are you looking for to improve the game? Some mods I will not recommend directly on this forum because of more mature content,

@Kathykins I do the same thing ageing babies up to toddlers immediately.
@Mindsimscreate I am always coming up with scenarios for my sims with objectives for them. I have done a turn them all scenario where the objective was to make everyone who wasn't an alien a vampire. I am trying to turn Max Villareal into "Villain Deku" in the current game I have with the mods I have. Since one allows me to have him kidnap sims. These are things I do to make the game more interesting."WildIrishBanshee;c-17082548" wrote:

I never understand these ātake a breakā comments, Iām the same as you op Iām getting bored of how I play (exactly the same way as you too) but I obviously want to actually enjoy the game again, I just donāt have any ideas how to get that enjoyment back. Iām sure we all naturally take breaks for a while but I think these sort of threads are actually asking how to start enjoying playing again when itās become stale.
Sometimes people need to take a step back from the game, take a break because that is what is actually causing their boredom. It's not the game, they've just invested too much brain power, and need to step back to refresh their creativity/imagination. It's not so much stop playing the game because you're bored, it's more take a break because you need one. Beating one's head against a wall solves nothing...and makes things so much worse. A break can be any size, from a few days to years. I just took a month and a half or so off because the game was feeling stale, even though new content had come out because I had put too much into the game, and not enough into my brain, if that makes sense. Refilled the well, and now I'm back. It's not really a lack of enjoyment that causes it or real boredom.
Though I did have to chuckle - when I clicked on this thread, it was directly underneath the 1000 Fun Things To Do thread lol.
If they had made a better game, we wouldn't need breaks."catitude5;c-17082988" wrote:

I don't know...I need breaks even from games that are really good and I love a lot. (Whether Sims 4 is one of those games is a debate for another time.) But I'd say needing a break doesn't automatically equate to a mediocre game.
