TS4 Royalty & Legacy Positive Thoughts Thread

Not to do another commentary on this EP but....

This EP for the most part has been able to provide more than what I was expecting from it in terms of the Noble Career, Dynasties and Scandals. I honestly thought I was going to opt out of Dynasties and Scandals, and only use the Noble Career on one Sim.

I played a Odin/Loki/Thor household to start. Set up the typecasted drama. Loki had "Difficult" Dynamics with both Odin and Thor. The dynasty favoured Odin/Thor's likes/traits/skills, and Loki had a balance between the both causing him to automatically fall to the lowest dynasty rank.

Loki on one playthrough (but I did a restart afterwards and mimicked the same), on his own fought and lost to Thor. They despised each other and has Dynasty Crisis within the first day. Loki would bully Thor, Odin would scold Loki autonomously. Things went as plan, and then I made Loki the Dynasty Outcast.

During this time both Thor and Loki were working autonomously on Charisma, and Thor more so on Swordsmanship. Loki was trying to get Noble alignment and Thor Commoner. I had them both try to romance my main (who was going to eventually be the next household in rotation).

Loki made his own dynasty geared to his traits/skills/likes, moved out to the next household with his romantic partner. Odin's dynasty unsupervised gained lots of prestige on its own. Loki's never seem to go higher than 3. But I worked on him slowly while I played my main household.

Causing scandals (he is disliked/despised by so many LOL), finding out scandals and exposing/extorting, meanwhile working on his swordsmanship, mischief, and charisma. Dueled for my main Sim's heart (that was cute!), collected 3 rare swords so far, finished Social Puppeteer, Master of Grudges and Anansi's trials (so he can eventually swipe the Simscalibur, but still needs higher swordsmanship skill). He had Thor as a Noble rival at one point and he Pressure to Abdicate, to bypass him, and now Odin is his next Noble Rival.

I still could do more but I am running into bugs/issues with my save file, and thinking of trying to start with a cleaner save (I think my long time gallery/saved household Sims, have transferred some issues from previous saves).

But this ranks top even with the criticisms. This really helped with storytelling/planned gameplay. Dynasties I actually use, unlike Clubs which I couldn't get to work for my playstyle. I like that I can ignore my Noble and still get paid, and no promotions unless I want to! And Scandals are a nice touch of drama. With the ability to opt out of various parts of the features!! I mean basically you can opt out/skip of every feature, this is how packs (all packs: past/present/future) should be set up!!!
