TS2's TV channels were great, and using them again in TS3 just goes to show you can't improve upon perfection! Just kidding..TS3's half hearted way of reusing animatons and machamania is the problem and why you don't see TS3's own TV videos.
They reused TS2's TV channels..TS2's Karaoke machine animations, etc.
Low budget films is what comes to mind. Ever heard of those? they are 'b' movies...instead of actually filming a new scene..they just borrow something like a war scene (planes flying over head in a real documentary) and or files from government public short films, etc...and or borrow the footage of some long forgotten horror movie and splice it in. That is what TS3's TV channels remind me of. Sorry, but low budget since they didn't even bother to video the TS3 Sims for their stations.
Anyhow, TS2's commercials and news room stations, cooking channels were great..and couldn't be done in TS3 I don't think...you can't get a Sim to sit behind a desk long enough to film them.. :mrgreen:
I would like to see some new channels in TS4.
An HGTV channel..like the cooking channel but for house repairs...and remodels..gain mechanical etc.
A return of 'movie channels' for the Sims to watch..I loved those..Maxiods in TS2 really did care about their horror machamania.
News' stations that tell me something that is 'true' about a Sim in my hood/world..and or local news..how cool would that be? Yes, extra time to make the game remember what is going on with neighbors and broadcast it on TV. :P
And I miss the little crazy game they played on the video game machine you the little 'kingdom' thingy that was funny..and I miss being able to make my own TV stations and video games .avi for my Sims to play..
