In S3 your sims could form an official band and receive gigs if one member was "self-unemployed". You could also name your band. But they were glitchy and problematic and never really functioned the way they should have.

If they do bands again, I would hope they give them the fully fleshed out treatment and make them worth the effort. We already have a music career from base game and a singing skill in CL, both of which will allow your sim to earn money to pay bills and gain fame. Hopefully, there will be a pack that adds bands and a recording studio and a concert venue, all of which would not have fit in GF with the acting career.

I've seen a lot of people asking for them and a lot of people seem unhappy there not in the pack so would say they are popular
in fact I don't think I've ever seen anyone on this forum or else where say they don't want bands in the game
you also seem to want bands and lp on youtube trying to make bands with what we have and its awful funny but awful
