UGH! Nightclubs and Celebrities!
One of the few things you can do in sims 4 is go to a Nightclub. Get Famous totally breaks that event if you have a DJ Booth. And why wouldn't you have a DJ Booth??? Meaningful activities are limited ...

Bars are useless (even pre GF) as they only ever sit or stand around the bar rendering the rest of the lot totally useless. Even groups you struggle to sit together. Karaoke bars aren't much better. Lounges are ok but now the celeb hotspot and night clubs are as above. I also find they only seem to attract adults and seldom young adults. Where the hell can my sims now go?
VIP areas help a bit in clubs but if you place a bar or DJ booth in there, the rest of the club can't access it. If you leave it outside, then the VIP area is nothing more than a place to sit (and pour your own drinks). Celeb disguises kind of work in that they reduce the effect after the inital buzz of seeing the celeb (it doesn't last forever though). It also doesn't help with the other celebs your sim might be out with or who might turn up. Removing the lot traits don't seem to help neither.
Turning off celebs again, kind of helps but its not perfect. I do love there is some choice in the game but totally agree, once a celeb shows up, the entire lot goes into meltdown.
I took my Sim down to the Blue Velvet in Willow Springs. I solved some of these issues by having him (he's a Global Superstar) sit down at the piano and 'jazz the place up'. He played the piano and sometimes sang all evening long. The crowd gathered around the instrument. It was fun.
