UGH! Nightclubs and Celebrities!
One of the few things you can do in sims 4 is go to a Nightclub. Get Famous totally breaks that event if you have a DJ Booth. And why wouldn't you have a DJ Booth??? Meaningful activities are limited ...

I never had a problem with celebrities in the night clubs, the service sims did randomly stop djing before if there fun or social bar is low. DJing time period at the nightclub is from 7:00pm 3:00am after that they will most likely ignore the booth. Also only certain DJ are likely to stop when a celebrity strikes a pose. Also only certain celebrities have the famous perks unlocked to do it. I do think it is somewhat random.
Edit: I almost forgot, which this may be your problem the DJ just happens to be a fan to the celebrity that shows up, but because he is the service NPC for the DJing right now you don't see his fan label, because lot specify jobs override random temporary names. I seen a bar tender get up go up to celebrity and faint on a lounge lot, than went back to bar tending when the celebrity left.
