Ugly children

Im cracking up at this thread for some reason..I guess because I have been there with this so I fix it lol.

This is why we need an in game plastic surgery or other option like some gadget they use or climb into. Would be good for immersion and many of us do it anyway.

I definitely have had children that didn't turn out the best. I don't fix it. Not everyone can be beauty queens. Sometimes I'm disappointed if it's one of my heirs....but I just roll with it.

I'm more likely to change hair than appearance, though I did change one Sim's eye shape because I'd wanted her to inherit her father's Asian look rather than her mother's round eyes. She was my chosen heir and I wanted that feature passed on.

Ofc I fix them. It's a harsh world in my game, there's no place for uggos.

How lucky/unlucky you are with genetics tends to rely on how far you stray from the presets. If you mess around and give your sim a prominent nose or chin you can bet that sim's child will inherit an even more exaggerated feature. It also seems to be especially bad if a female child inherits mostly from her father.

I don't really change all that much with children. Their faces aren't really fully "grown" yet, so there's no telling what they will look like when they grow up. When they are teens, however....if their features are really out of place, I will change them. Its usually just changing the eyebrows, chins, exceptionally narrow (?) lips etc. I do the same for randomly generated/premade sims too, no matter the age.

I had an adorable child age up to an ugly teen, basically her features were way to big for her face, so I fixed it in CAS. Still not very attractive, but better than she was.

CC often creates nonsensical features on the offsprings, so I have to edit them, if only to actually make them look like their parents.

By instance, parents with thick custom eyebrows generating a kid with those ugly as hell thin brows that look like someone drew a line with a pen.
