Ummm okay???!! Little rant

I don't think you're alone, I've seen several people posting recently about being bored with no new gameplay since CoL. Kits are ok, if you're into CAS stuff, but that doesn't add any actual gameplay to the game, that just adds aesthetics to your sim's look. And most of the kits don't even add more hair or shoes (unless they're attached to an outfit) or anything like that.

I do agree that the Wedding pack is pretty darn skimpy with nothing much added that can be used every day, besides the slow dancing, which I am glad about and the new world is a plus.

But I don't do weddings in my game, and if I did I sure wouldn't be having one every time I played, so I get your frustration.

Hopefully the next pack offers up some fun and unique game play with less focus on the fluff-n-stuff.

Oh I agree with much of what you're ranting about! Weddings are a very one-time and one-off event for me, and I've only really ever had like, 2 weddings in the entirety of my main gameplay save since I started playing? I usually just start them off as married and having the option to set them as fiancé/fiancées in CAS now serves as an excuse to plan the wedding at all. Also, I primarily play with a lot of male Sims and as usual, the lack of male CAS content is appalling but unsurprising. I would only ever buy it for the world itself, but certainly not using my own money.

I have probably had over 10 weddings in my main save - which still isn't that often when spread over the years. I didn't want a pack focusing on wedding, but I'll probably buy it for the world. When it comes to beds I think last game pack (DHD) added two beds, so that kind of makes it up?

I felt somewhat the same about the vampire pack. I never play them but bought it for the items mainly and the little world that I may use one day.
This one however has a larger world and I love getting some new shops, the slow dance! and will hopefully discover some more gameplay I will enjoy. Now if they would only make a gamepack with horses. <3

This is the same as all packs its for people who want it those that do see more value than those than may just want a few items. If none of it appeals just skip it.

I basically agree about the theme - we don't marry a sim more often than we se that sim die of old age - normally just once in a lifetime. I never played weddings in detail (ok, that might be a bit more fun now), and I will definitely not spend a week on a wedding including all those parties on offer with this pack. Still, it's just a gamepack, and when I get it it will be for the world.

That said, regardless of theme I think if we get creative we could play with elements from this pack regularly, even if we play only one household.
- Make a living from arranging and selling bridal bouquets. It requires Season EP to arrange them, but even without that pack they can be bought in catalog and sold for a little extra.
- Run a wedding shop including wedding outfits and all that extra.
- Work as an wedding photographer - might need to imagine this a bit, but you could arrange weddings just to do your photo job. Sim could also hire models to show off wedding dresses etc, and you could decorate your atelier or sell photos at exhibition, etc.
- I don't think it's an actual career, but perhaps your sim could become a wedding planner? Create a studio with demo combinations, invite over a couple who are planning a wedding or to refresh their "yes I do". Combine it with a freelance career for income and something to do "on Mondays".
- Become a wedding singer? ;)
- Start a club that has gatherings on the beaches to collect bottles. For every full collection cheat them §10000 that they can donate to an organization.
- Become a wedding cake baker, sell them from home or open your own bakery (Get To Work).
- Build and run a conference center, including a small wedding venue, but also fan-meetings for celebs, speeches for certain groups, serve food and benefit from the champagne/buffet/speeches/toasts facilities of the MWS pack.

I think the possibilities to enjoy this new pack are endless even if my sims will not get married ;)

I agree. I've been really surprised at how much positive praise cas and bb is getting from game changers. I just think it's awful, nearly none of it is universal either, we have an Italian (I think!) Themed world...so where is all the bb and cas to go with that? And the veils not being accessories is just sheer laziness.

The pack is extremely limited to weddings- go figure, a pack named My Wedding Stories being about weddings. They could've given us a cooler name, but I digress. But weddings are gameplay, are they not? I mean, there's hardly any, if any, CAS or BB assets that aren't wedding themed, there's a small selection of them from the screenshots I've seen, and they really just exist to spice up the gameplay. Frosting on the new cakes we can make, if you will.

This certainly isn't a CAS or BB pack, and we've had a lot of them recently so that's fair! But if it's also not a gameplay pack, then what is it? Or is it not a day-to-day gameplay pack? I'm just not sure I understand the complaints about there being no gameplay in this pack, since that's all I see. Terribly functioning, glitchy gameplay, and a couple dresses. Is it a world pack? Can it be a stuff pack next time? Will this satiate the simmers crying for more romance? Will any of us ever be satiated if they keep giving us packs riddled to the core with bugs?

(I still think it should've been werewolves. Just think, if we could've gotten our bitey, wolfy occults this month, then the developers have more time to work on this pack, and maybe with all that time we could've gotten, say, one more suit for males. Score!)

Now I'm not saying your argument is flawed, I just don't know what people want here. Beds?

At least it's not "Get Wed", but if it was called "Married Life" then the pack didn't need to be focused on weddings alone ;)

We could've had an expansive general romance pack with not only advanced weddings, but all other aspects of the married lifestyle, with all its ups and downs! But no, just weddings.
