Uninvited people and career fame opportunities

So I really dislike and don't see the point of random people just walking into my sims house because they are a little famous. Why is this even a thing? I finally got a fame opportunity from my sims ...

My next door neighbor, who just walks in whenever she feels like it, is actually a bigger problem than intruding stans. :P That's what I get for living in an apartment, I guess. xD Also, I always turn those job offers down. Leave my position as a movie icon to work in a kitchen? I don't think so....
