University, Family and Friends

This is my question also. I have a specific Sim I want to go to University. How do I get his friends in the same dorm?

If they are all active and in the same household, then yes. But I do not believe you can have your friends and family be NPC roommates, unless there is a mod or cheat for that.

Follow the steps that she has to do it and you will be golden! I wish that this was just a choice by the game to begin with.

Yes, you can't have them as roommates, but you can choose to attend university off-campus and continue playing with the same household. But, yes, there is a Mod for that, LittleMsSam is truly wondrous.

@gothprincess4ever - I am playing a Sim in a dorm and preparing off-campus housing for him and some specific roommates - when do I move him (end of semester or any time?). How do I make sure the right roommates come with him?

This is for getting multiple sims into on campus housing: You'll want to enroll all of them on the same day and time, one right after the other. Send them to the same university and to the same residence hall. You will be able to merge the households.

You can just keep them off campus and that is probably more relaxed. I'd start them all together though so that they go through the term together simultaneously. You do need to play each of them, managing their class attendance and needs. I do not know about making them unplayable roommates. Those are currently all random. They automatically fill in a dorm or you can search for roommates for a private residence. They get up to stuff like throwing random parties and having different personalities.

@ChampandGirlie - my Sim just ended a semester. I got a pop-up about enrolling. His roommates are "not in the world". Do I enroll him? Move him after enrolling?

I’ve womdered how to do this with my sims twin sister.....I finally just sent one first and will send the other after but I was pretty upset when I get there and the first “pep club” meeting had my sims dad listed as a “student” doing keg stands ??‍♀️
I mean come on. I didn’t set him up for school. He’s never even researched Uni. He’s a politician.
It also shows his name wrong. I think I know why.
He was a mermaid, abducted by aliens and impregnated. (I thought that wasn’t supposed to happen). The mother alien of his twin boys has the last name R a t a. So he’s a student with his normal first name, last name shared with the alien instead of his WIFE. Sigh. He’s a sim I made. Idk how he’s cloned with a new last name and is a student with his kid. It’s creepy lol. This family is weirder.... His wife is a spellcaster so the twin girls (one is away at collage) mom passed on sorcery and they had a glimmer stone at birth...yet they also got tails when they aged into teens (I didn’t even realize that until I went swimming). ?‍♀️ That was a mess I had to remove the mermaid trait....they still have odd animations in the water (but I don’t have a tail on land anymore). Oh. They also have a ydration bar instead of hygiene bar. Their older sister (a singleton) was also a mermaid at birth. Firstborn. No magic at all and no bugs yet when I see her out and about town, she’s at magic HQ and uses a broom ?‍♀️
It messes with your story to see them like that. Especially if your doing a story with photos or video.
