Unsettled Odor?

Never mind figured it out lol.. It was rat urine..
I had a rat issue in my apartment and he urinated on my carpet..
All fixed landlord came right over :smile:

If you leave it for a while it gets even worse. lol And then if you leave it for a bit longer.... it gets even worse again. ;) >:) Pretty soon you can daze the strongest sim and then... if you have them try to fix something electrical... mwhaahahaha....

@Redrose390 how do you call the landlord to come over?...anytime something breaks or so, I only get the option to hire a repairman.

When you click on the green fog, or the rats or the roaches you get the options to try to repair yourself or to complain to the landlord. Complaining makes your sim phone up and then the landlord comes over... or maybe not if your sim has a rubbish relationship with him/her. lol

I was wondering this also. It appears that any objects in the game that you can buy that have the potential to break you can not ask the landlord to fix. All I've seen so far is that the landlord only addresses issues with pests or a broken trash chute.

At first all these TLC problems were annoying me.. and the loud neighbours... waking up in the middle of the night... and then I was like, wait! This is great! Finally some consequences in the game! I'm loving it. For too long I have been playing generation after generation of perfect sims with perfect lives with perfect homes... It's nice to have a shake up!!! :) Have a happy day everyone!!! :)

What traits do you guys have on the lot with mice and roaches? I've been playing on the cheapest culpepper one and nothing happened, just a few eletrical problems. I want my girls to freaking out with the mice lol

It's the lot with the tlc trait. Just wait for it. It will happen. When I saw my first mouse, I thought, "Is that what I think it...nah." But then I kept seeing it and realized I had mice. Y and uck. I didn't bother calling the landlord. I had my sims handle the problem personally.

But they come back. *shudders* They always come back. I almost don't see the point of making that apartment look nice. It will always be mice and bug infested. Y and uck.

My landlord mopped that rat urine.

Depends on the apartment, but I can tell you, and @Ceres_Meiriona you might find this interesting that my 'smell' isn't coming from rat urine.

We moved the rug and this is what we found so we had used another rug to cover it. Needless to say, whoever it was, didn't use bleach after the murder.
