- Simfriend685 years agoSeasoned AceFoxes sneak into your sims' coops and steal eggs at night or early in the morning. I've even seen them carrying the eggs in the mouth (usually they drop the eggs if challenged or shooed, in my experience). If they enter it, the coop will rock back and forth with feathers flying in their air and the chickens squawking in agitation. Foxes have also been known to attack chickens if there are no eggs to steal.
The two times this happened to me, the rooster and the hen were both able to fight them off successfully, luckily; they were "young adult" fowl (who were also very happy, full and contented at the time) so that may have been the reason why.
The cloud you're seeing could be a fight with a chicken. I have also found my camera will automatically go over to an elder fox who is dying, which is also annoying. - amapola765 years agoSeasoned Ace

Not sure I've heard the noise in game yet but.... have you ever heard the noises real foxes make? If not, go look it up. It's an awful sound lol like a banshee. Very eerie.
Oh yeah. The noise the fox makes in the game is terrible, but at least it's brief. The first time I ever heard real foxes mating near my house, I sincerely thought someone was being murdered but very very slowly, over the course of the entire night. It's blood-chilling. - Daravi5 years agoSeasoned AceFoxes are creepy, they can give you rabies. When I was a child, I grew up in Germany, I was forbidden to go even to the near of a fox. I should get out of their way anytime, although they are quite fascinating, when they are watching us.
- AineOfMay5 years agoSeasoned AceI don't think it's a 'fox' sound - the same sound and vfx happens to sims aswell, and I've no idea what is causing it. It's like a weird sound wave noise that sounds eerie and as I said it happens to sims aswell. I wonder if anyone knows why they've got the weird vfx and have this eerie noise following them? I'm so confused.
- AineOfMay5 years agoSeasoned AceOkay so this is what it looks and sounds like. Does this happen in anyone else's game?

Do you have Cats & Dogs installed by any chance? Curious if some sort of illness fell upon that wild fox as a result of owning the EP. - AineOfMay5 years agoSeasoned Ace

@Trowicia Yes I have Cats & Dogs installed - I believe I saw a sim with the same vfx, but it happens so fast I'm not sure tbh. Could it be GTW illness somehow effects foxes in my game? Or something else? I've never seen this before, so that's why I'm so confused. - amapola765 years agoSeasoned AceI wonder whether it could have eaten one of the new mushrooms. Maybe Michael Bell gave it some of his mushroom berry mash. :D

It sounds like a warning klaxon of some sort.
