Vacationing in a regular neighbourhood

So, I’m so excited at the news that we can now live and vacation in any neighborhood! I can now finally get some use out of Sulani by vacationing in the Sims winter months! I’m just a little confused at the statement below as outlined by ScreenRant..

Mount Komorebi is both a vacation destination world and a residential world. When players take a vacation there, as in other vacation worlds, they will need to stay in a rental property. As part of the free base-game update that comes with this pack, players can now take a vacation to any world, not just the vacation worlds, though rental properties will not be available for families vacationing in the residential worlds right now.

The last sentence, does that mean.. what does that mean? You can’t have rental properties in regular worlds? Wouldn’t that be all of the other non traditional vacation neighbourhoods?? That doesn’t make sense.. wouldn't that imply there is no change to the current game play??

Maybe it means they won't be placing rental lots but they'll add a rental lot type & you build your own?

I hope this doesn’t mean we have to “vacation” to go to other worlds. Sometimes I just want to have my sims go from the city to the beach or whatever.

They posted a blog with a link to an interactive map today. Here’s the description if you click on one of the vacation rental spots.

Visitors and out-of-towners can rent one of these lots for the day or stay for a vacation to experience the mountain. In fact, these new rental lot types will soon be available to be placed in any residential world, and some of them in Mt. Komorebi were built by our very own GameChangers - no more spoilers, though!

I was about to ask the same question. I really hope it works both ways. Rental lots in regular worlds and residential lots in vacation worlds. I hope someone can ask this in the livestream.

@Rouensims unfortunately you can't :(, at least not at the time the EP drops.

Oh that's bad... im more excited for having my sims live in GF or Selvadorada than for vacationing in the other worlds.

The only vacation world you can’t live in is the camping one right? I only have the camping one and jungle adventure.

I hope not either. This would be a regression in gameplay.

I have a family living in the vacation world that is a forest (can't remember the name of it)

I'm actually curious about this too. My question is though, would this apply to natives of Selvadarado and aliens from Sixam. Heck it would even be nice to visit another alien world or have a rental property on Batuu.
