Vacationing In Any World - Help Me Understand

I like the idea of being able to have my sim have their house in one world and rent a residence in another for a time. I had one previous save where my focal sim was an investigative reporter, and I wanted him to explore the Strangerville plot line, so I had to separate him from the current household and move him to strangerville, where with this I could have made one of the lots in Strangerville residential and had him rent it instead, so I could still keep track of what was going on back home at the same time. (I don't like to play rotationally, I get wrapped up in one household and neglect the others.)

I'm also going to build a rental penthouse in San Myshuno for couples to get away for the weekend for the Romance festival, so that I don't have to worry about people walking in on them when I add bedrooms to existing venues.

Some worlds it doesn't make sense - Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Evergreen Harbor. Glimmerbrook and Forgotten Hollow I might add an "inn" that's really a rental house for a given storyline (Someone discovering Magic or vampire hunting, respectively) but otherwise they don't suit well. Windenberg and Brindleton Bay also would require specific stories (though I tend to turn the Hound's Head into a B&B, I emphasize the breakfast part and make it a restauraunt, and I don't actually plan to change that.)

But yeah, without specific stories in mind, Sulani and San Myshuno are the only places I plan to add Vacation lots to my base save.
