My teen is a vampire and once, at school, there was an outdoor challenge (play or study). She nearly freaking died. She would have if I hadn't noticed her avatar color. She has an umbrella, and yes, we know there are some issues with it, but being a vampire, doesn't it make sense to have them let her stay indoors? I had to pull her out of school early and that affected her Responsibility rating. In any case, how should I handle this in the future.

I don't think there's a way as of yet. Like you said, there are still a few issues that need to be fixed in a future patch. I think you'll just have to pull her out of school early and have her do some extra chores to boost up her responsibility trait once again.I have never had a teen vampire - I'm going to do that now!

Are you telling that you panicked because you got a chance card asking what to do outside? These shouldn't affect anything at all.I have found tha vampires living in apartments have easier time going to school because they only need to walk in front of the elevator (which is indoors).

The OP clearly says the face picture down to the left showed her burning to death. So it was not a matter of "panicking because of a chance card".

If you use the UI Cheats Extension mod, you could just right click on the moodlet to remove it. I have a couple in Selvadorada for the week, and there was heat wave for three days straight, so, naturally, while exploring the jungle, they started burning to death. I just right clicked the moodlet to remove it, and the crisis was averted. If you don't have the mod (or don't want the mod), there's probably a cheat that will let you remove the moodlet.

But it shouldn’t happen at all. Since you don't use cheats or mods, you could try getting her vampire level up high enough to buy at least the first level of the sun resistant perk. Or you could try making the drink that keeps vampires safe while in the sun for a few hours and have her drink it before going to school. She or someone in the household would need to be at level 11 of the vampire lore skill, though, to make the drink.

Apparently the game actually takes in account that they are outside during the chance card. The OP clearly says the face picture down to the left showed her burning to death. So it was not a matter of "panicking because of a chance card".

Good luck! It's a challenge. What I resorted to was looking at the forecast before school. If it's sunny, use a vacation day.

lol. No. That would be stupid. I panicked because I it said “outside” and instinctively checked her stats. Her vampire energy was at about 10% after being at school hour or so, and having full energy before going. The fact is, it did affect her. It has now done this twice!!!

They won't die at school or work even though the moodlet will be there all day. (However, they WILL stand around outside like dorks when they get home, I've lost one or two that way.)
