Yes, this version really falls short of past ones. I never use them in 4, but I did in previous versions. If they get one by fishing or by joining and winning as the Pranksters, I usually sell the dolls for cash early on when my households are just getting started and could use the money. So to me, that's all they're good for right now. Easy money!
