Apparently actual nerfing calls for dust bunnies have started.

I won't the include the name of the simmer involved and who posted this but...
Yeah, good. It needed to be nerfed. Glad it's getting balanced too.
There is NO excuse for needing to vacuum 3 times a day and earning thousands of simoleons a night with no way to opt out of the simoleons, even if you like dust bunnies.
People need to stop comparing it to vampires. It'd be like if I bought the pack and they autonomously turned people. Every night my townies would get turned, and they would show up at my house multiple times a day and night and drop off thousands of simoleons against my will, then leave to turn more sims. What's more, I had no way to stop it besides disabling vampires all together.
This is not comparable.
Nerfing doesn't mean what you think it means though. It's not just "getting balanced."
When the devs nerf something, they almost completely tune it out of existence. If they nerf the dust bunnies, they'll basically cease to exist. Meaning you're literally spending $5 for vacuum cleaners.

Simmers bought Vampires then complained about the nightly break-ins and the fact Vampires drank blood. Wow.
This. And as a result of the nerf, I barely even notice vampires in my game. Unless I know for a fact the character is a vampire (ie Caleb, Lilith, and Vlad) I can't tell them apart from a regular Sim. Because they are, in essence... a normal Sim with fangs (and that's assuming that's the teeth they got when randomized.)
And Spellcasters came pre-nerfed in the sense, they only practice in their own realm, unless you direct to them. I've heard stories of people saying their spellcasters chose to nearly starve to death instead of perform "Delicioso," which should be the norm, assuming they know the spell.
It is comparable to the nerfing of vampires, because just like vampires if dust bunnies get nerfed, content people paid for is getting removed without their consent. Which is not okay.
I know what a nerf is, and that's exactly what I said. Nobody has still commented on a single one of my points about how this pack is literally broken. People just keep quoting and screaming "NO nerfs".
Thankfully, it's getting nerfed because of the fact it's so broken.
It's not comparable. Vampires didn't autonomously turn all of your sims into vampires and show up at your house every night with thousands of dollars.
Bust dummies are too frequent and overpowered.
You can literally have 3 dust bunnies the SECOND you load up a brand new save and earn 80k simoleons in one night against your will, even if you never interact with them.
This is ridiculous, stop defending bad game design.
Nobody is disagreeing with the fact that it's broken though. Which is very likely the reason we're letting that slide by. Because you're right on that part.
The fact that you're defending the nerfing of Dust Bunnies completely is the problem here. People are calling for
content other people paid for (which for some might even be the only reason they got the pack.)
That's why it's comparable to vampires.
If this comparison makes more sense to you, this would be like me asking the devs to nerf the automatic gaining of the parenting skill from Parenthood. My Sims have a baby and feed it once and they're automatically gaining parenting skill. Or asking them to nerf laundry getting dirty from Laundry Day because it keeps getting dirty whenever my Sims change their clothes. Despite the fact that the description of the laundry basket says that the clothing will get dirty.
Tuning down the amount of simoleons or adjusting how quickly a house gets dirty is fine. That's fixing a problem. Nerfing dust bunnies altogether is not going to solve anything. That's the only part I disagree with.
Plus, a lot of other people have conducted experiments and they're making not even $1000 simoleons a night. So it's obviously not a problem everyone is having. The people experiencing the problem must be doing something different.
I'm not trying to defend a bad game design by any means. I'm just trying to get you to understand that nerfing isn't going to solve any problems, and it's only going to make people who wanted dust bunnies mad.
