Walking Stick Insect

Hey gang!

I've almost got all of the insects in Granite Falls, even the Will-o-the-Wisp, but I haven't been able to find any walking stick bugs! What do they look like? Do they show up in some weird spot? They're only supposed to be 'uncommon', so boy do I feel dumb. Any tips?

    That little flame thing is the Will O' Whip. I have no problems catching it or the dust spirits or any of the other insects. Just the walking stick, blue morph butterflies, bees, and lately the dragon dragonflies.

    I'm currently agonising over my Walking Stick Insect. While I was there I completed my Fishing Aspiration on one sim and am 3/4 of the way to the other. I've also filled my Base Game Fossil collection while there

    Some insects only unlock at one at a time (like the fishing skill unlocks fish) and the Walking Stick Insect is the very last one. I don't know why it calls itself 'uncommon' when it's so particular about both time and place. I found the Dragon Dragonfly ages ago.
