First off, please no one take offense. This is not meant to be offensive. I heard that the walking styles could be passed down from a parent to offspring. If they are, I hope you can change it back to default walking or to another one.No politically correct way to say this ... but, I love the feminine walk for a female sim. It looks really good, lotsa sugar in that tank. The feminine walk on a male sim, not so much ... cause he got plenty of sugar in that tank. :shock: Sims don't have an orientation, but just looking at a male sim with the feminine walk ... he's just lookin for a good time. 8) Have they confirmed that the walking styles can be changed in game to an active sim?

Believe it or not, many people don't walk how they might look.Plus, whoever said the father's walk style should reflect the son's and the mother's walk style should affect the daughters, I'm sure many people might find that a bit of a gender role issue? It's not always father = son, or mother = daughter. I think it should be randomized to be honest. That way it'll be an interesting turnout. :-o

I see what your seeing kirby356 but saying gait or walking style has not genetic basis is not valid. It's probably a mixture of both environmental mimicry and genetic disposition, similar to alcoholism. Personality has inheritable and environmental influences. I see what your saying Kirby but until studies are done, saying something has no genetic basis is absolutely false.

I think it's not. I remember reading it somewhere that you can choose it once the sim reaches a certain age. Then again I'm not sure.

It can be in real life. People inherit traits from their parents, including postures, how they stand, and......walking styles! We do this because a) we see it on a daily basis from the people who raise us, and b) everything is in our genes.
