Look. I mean seriously, I went to see what was at the bottom. What everybody begged for? Hotels. Schools. Murder Mysteries. What nobody, anywhere, wanted? Star Wars. Seriously, VEGANISM came higher, and we already have Vegetarian Sims. We got the Eco Living Climate Change Expansion first.
So it's pretty obvious that the Game Pack Team was basically forced to do this pack. They gave us this poll, then probably told the bosses that it's obvious Sims 4 players aren't Star Wars players and weren't given a choice.
To me, it almost seems like they're doing it backwards. - RouenSims5 years agoSeasoned AceSome people loved Batuu and specifically wanted Star Wars. I’m not one of them myself, but other posters have said this. I did want veganism, though. It’s not the same as vegetarianism actually.
- Babykittyjade5 years agoSeasoned AceBut that poll is not an official EA poll is it?
They have polls all over that are not official. - LiELF5 years agoLegend

True. And they did put out a private survey asking about what famous "brands" people wanted to see. I chose Disney for Star Wars and Marvel Universe and specified that.
But the dev team are known for having many SW fans among them, so it was as much a passion project as anything else.
Anyway, what's done is done. I have it, it makes me happy, people who don't like it don't have to buy it. It's over now. - JanuaryGarnet085 years agoSeasoned AceThe new Star Wars pack sounds very similar in nature to a Sims game, with it being about character creation and story driven, and I wondered too if JTB was an audition of sorts to see if EA/Maxis would get it, and didn’t due to the massive backlash.
- SimmerGeorge5 years agoSeasoned AceThe idea for the Star Wars pack didn't bother me as much as the terrible, boring execution of it. Playing that pack is EXACTLY like playing fetch quests in the first 10 levels of some kind of MMO or something... Yikes.
- TheGreatGorlon5 years agoNew AceI feel like some people are misconstruing a few things. Disney canned EA's exclusivity, not it's licensing. EA is still going to be making Star Wars games, such as a sequel to their unexpectedly good Fallen Order game, they will just no longer be the only company producing Star Wars titles now. This is a good thing, because Star Wars games had pretty much rotted on the vine since they've been handled solely by EA. I still remember the Jedi Knights games before EA got their claws in them, as well as games like Galactic Battlegrounds, Rogue Squadron, and Shadows of the Empire, they were all amazing and they all came from various developers who could contribute different views and takes on the Star Wars universe. The Sims team could have actually contributed in this regard, if they had created a standalone game akin to Medieval that was a life simulator set in the Star Wars universe, instead of hastily tacking this Disney Parks sales ad onto the Sims.
But yeah, TL:DR - EA can still make Star Wars games. They're just not the only people allowed to make them now. - SEREFRAS5 years agoLegendPersonally, I like the hair, outfits & objects in JTB. They are very handy in my Futuristic Play.
- wildirishbanshee5 years agoSeasoned AceI don't actually mind JtB, though I don't own it yet. I can always use another vacation world. I just don't want to pay full price, and I keep missing the sales lol. I will still buy it, for what it is.
