Was Multitasking worth the loading screens?

Back when The Sims 4 came out, one of the Guru’s gave us some insight as to why they can’t have more than one lot active in The Sims 4, with one of the reasons being Multitasking.

According to the Guru’s, Multitasking was too taxing on people’s processors to be active on more than one lot.

Apparently Sims are constantly aware of all the variables in which creates a sort of virtual mapping and too many variables can cause the game to slow down as the processor is constantly calculating all the options available, with multiple interactions at once.

Interestingly, The Sims Mobile was launched as a watered down Sims 4, and one of the features missing is multitasking HOWEVER the game has a semi-open world where multiple venues are available at once, and your Sim can travel between them without an issue (eg. A Sim can visit a Resturant and then visit the Hospital).

So it seems it really is a case of one or the other with current hardware, but what are your thoughts on it?

Generally I have 6 to 8 sims in one household. They all have different tasks to do such as gardening, doing homework or gaining a skill for their job. I can't take the risk to go another place and leave all the others behind by just clicking "Care for Self" because they don't. Seeing all those yellow-red moodlets get on my nerves. I do want to explore new places that comes with new packs but I can't because if I do so, then my younger sim will fail at school for not doing the homework.
Yes, watching TV while eating pancake is an amazing thing to do but I could do without that. It bothers me to stuck at one home 7/24.

@JassAkgun I have the same problem. I want to send my sims places, but there are things that need to get done on the home lot. Especially homework and building skills. Sometimes I try to send my sims to the common area around the house, but it usually is not good enough.

To answer OP's question. I am kind of neutral. I do love the multitasking, but it is annoying that we are confined to one lot at a time. Perhaps for future games, there can be semi-open worlds where you have districts of about 6-10 lots and you can do whatever you want within those lots. I remember Sims 3 for console had something similar to this idea. You can easily switch which district you are visiting. I also love how we can easily bounce back and forth between worlds.

As a side note, I miss those wacky loading screens that sims 2 had. The sims pictured in those loading screens were so sassy! The spinning plumbob is blah.

    NOPE

By definition, it's not even really multitasking.

It pains me to agree with this, but I must. I would rather have an open-world or a semi-open world over multitasking.
