Washing dogs that don't belong to my sim, is there a way around this?

I'm playing a veterinarian, and have noticed quite a few dirty dogs coming into her clinic. Since these are not her pets, it won't allow her to wash them. Is there a way around this?

  • I wonder if that is some kind of glitch? Go to Origin and repair your game. It might help. In your game library right click on the Sims game and choose 'repair'. I run the repair option on a regular basis; about once a week in fact. It does fix a lot of issues. Good luck with the dirty pooches.

In my game the Hecking dog has been sprayed by a skunk and all Sims get a negative moodlet whenever she is nearby..
  • My sim can give baths to other peoples' pets.. I'm not sure why you aren't able to do it.
  • Some tubs are broken or have a bug with them. I had this happen with the broke family once where they couldn't bathe their dog in their tub, but when I placed the wooden tub outside with 2 spaces on all sides they were able too. My feeling is that you are encountering some kind of build or object bug/brokeness that has yet to be fixed. Try placing the tubs elsewhere on the lot away from all walls or other objects. Then see if it continues if not then the only way to avoid it is really make sure you place a tub with more space around it. Or you can download a mod that makes dirty npc animals go away (http://littlemssam.de/no-sick-dirty-cats-dogs-walkbys). I would recommend the wooden tub if you want to have an outside area which so far has always worked for me.

I'll check to see if that's the problem. Everyone thank you for your replies.

I would cheat their needs if it's really bothering you, you could always brush them which cleans them also
