WCIF this style of clothing? (photo)

In the game (Cats and Dogs EP) is a picture of an unknown sailor and his dog. Well, I recreated him (as best as I could). I am wanting to add him and his dog to the game but as a ghost. I have looked through CAS but couldn't find anything that would even come close to the picture. Does anyone know where I can find something very similar to what the man is wearing in the painting?

  • Uniform in the picture is late 19th-early 20th century very dark blue. Sleeves are long, not short as in some of the offerings, and the neck needs to be a bit deeper than they show. Ties are always black and the upside down 'V' shape one of possibilities had. Hat is same color, known as a 'flat hat', and the closest to it would be a policeman's hat without the visor. The part that goes directly on the head is black. If you want a continental European look, two black ribbons go down the back. This is definitely CC bait, and yes, I know from personal experience.
  • @Oldeseadogge Thank you very much for this information. When it comes to stuff like this I want things to be just so. I managed to put the hat on him that the same one that the girl with the pink hair wears in San Myshuno, but it just doesn't look right. I really wished that when EA added these paintings they would have also added the different outfits as well that was on those people.
  • That would definitely be worthwhile, especially in this case since B. Bay has a nautical theme. In TS2, in most cases outfits in paintings were based on those already in the game. Another case where just that little extra bit of thought and effort would have made a big difference.
  • You might be able to find something you like on this creators blog: historicalsimslife.blogspot.com/ Sometimes, you can ask the creator nicely and they may make an item for you, or direct you to learn to make it yourself. This persons blog is beautiful, I can't imagine you wont find something! Yours is a fantastic idea. Now I'm going to have to search through all the portraits and do it myself! Maybe, lol. Good luck :)
