We have lots of little pets...

Straight off, I'm not saying I don't want more developed pets. But we have a lot more animals than you think in the game...

1: Fish. Not the most fascinating of pets, but you can put them in fish bowls and later view them. There are also aquariums to view. Not exciting but when were fish exciting? Soothe your inner boredom by recording your fishing session on a Drone and then uploading it onto the internet for a bucket-load.
2: Frogs. These you can actually breed!
3: Insects: If you have Outdoor Retreat you can hunt for insects which appear at various times of day while on vacation.
4: Aliens: You can collect these alive or dead on Sixam with Get To Work.
5: The Bird-feeder: You can attract birds with it. They can delight, or anger your Sims.
6: The Hamster line: The deepest developed pets so far and it helps you complete a collection.
7: The Cowplant, if you think of it as a pet. Ironically it may be more developed, and you do have a death for it too..
8: The Bee Hive. You wanted bees, you got bees. BEES! Also honey and stuff, and a death.
8: Even more curious insects in Eco Living to pet, eat, and use as fuel.
9: Snowy Escape has curious spirits hanging around Mount K. to collect, known as Simmies. Could be interesting to have them as pets too!

Apart from the Hamster line, none of these are exciting, but they're still animals that you can have in your living room and show off or look at, and so they probably won't make a return in any kind of pets pack (apart from how we keep getting new fish).

Thoughts on OTHER little pets?

  • Many people want horses, I’d rather have more small pets....... maybe they could put some more small pets in a horse pack. I would like that.

Do Patchy and the talking toilets count as “pets?”

I think Patchy’s just a sim in a costume. This also applies to the Flower Bunny.

If the toilet is a pet, are the stuffed animals pets?

I would rather have a Woodland ect GP and have them put more into it. Rabbits, ferrets, hermit crabs, snakes, birds, pet rocks, squarrils, and roaming wild animals. Also updated aquariums, more fish, and more tanks including the huge aquarium Sims can get into from Sims1. A new world with an aquarium, aquarium job, suvenier shop, aquarium playground ect.

I'm not crazy about horses either. I played with small pets more. However, if they do a world with pegasuses and unicorns, then that would be neat.
  • If they thought of doing more for men and elders they could introduce pigeon racing! It's a very popular sport with good pigeons going for thousands of pounds and "fanciers" attending shows and events. The birds are taken to the same spot a distance away and the first one home wins. Better than Mr Whiskers winning the lottery after not buying a ticket!

There was actually a UK "National Pigeon Service" during WW2, 200,000 of them donated by breeders to take messages from the Front and locating downed aircraft. Commando a pigeon did over 90 missions, received the Dickin Medal (equiv. to Victoria Cross) After the war, "Commando enjoyed a somewhat celebrity-like status. He also participated in an exhibition of wartime homing pigeons", Many more of them got medals too.

It could be added to a farming pack with a pigeon loft getting a real use and extra money for wins occasionally!

  • Pigeons are great. My dad used to breed show pigeons, and there's so much potential gameplay in that. I doubt most people would care about that, but bonding and training a bird is so much fun.
  • I'd like a crow or raven that would bring you random pieces of metal and glass every now and then if you feed it regularly. And real flamingoes would be nice too.

One of the things you can do with fishbowls is keep fish in them until you're ready to cook them, since dropping a fish in revives it.

    I didn't know this :open_mouth:

I would love living flamingoes! And I'm always happy to get more flamingo decor and clothing too.
