I really haven't ever really bothered looking at sims in the gallery. I feel the search options aren't specific enough to really find what I might be looking for, and I figure the gallery is probably the same as the exchange in ts3 as far as what most of the sims are going to look like. I know the exchange was always chock full of sims who pretty much all looked the same and brimming with so much CC they didn't even look like they came from the same game. Then, if you did download one of the sims (which I almost never did since I dislike CC that clashes with the style of the game) you would either wind up with a bunch of funky game breaking junk or you wouldn't get any of the content with the sim since it was in .package format and the vanilla version of the sim would look like a deformed horse's rear. So yeah... I don't sim shop on the gallery/exchange. Lots are generally much better quality though.
