Well I guess this post was inevitable. They've released the 21st anniversary update and we really didn't get anything to improve the game. Same old gameplay but now with a few new CC items.
I don't have CC in my game but when I heard about Lumia I researched him and saw he made body hair. We got crowsfeet added for our Sims presumably to lock body hair behind a future pack if they choose to include it at all.
I personally feel the team just passed off the anniversary to CC creators. Why put in the work when they could have someone else do it for them. That's the impression I get.
What are your thoughts?
My thoughts is that you have very unrealistic expectations.
Body hair is an unrealistic expectation?
Geez. Aren't you usually in the positive simmer thread complaining that people get attacked for liking the sims 4, when you're the one doing the attacking here?
Because people here are ❤️❤️❤️❤️ on content creators and are inventing tinfoily things to explain the "evil conspiracy that stops a CC creator from making body hair".
Plus, you know, EA really didn't have to do any of this. They are under zero moral obligation to give us ANYTHING.
I'm so sick of hearing that. I think I'm going to explode on the next person that says they don't have to do anything. That sentence alone is one of the most infuriating things I hear people say, not just about EA, but about companies in general.
Yes. Yes they do. This is a BUSINESS. it's not a charity. Even free content is tracked and countd as revenue. Free content makes people keep interest and recruits new people. This is literally how a live service works, which is what the sims 4 is.
They literally report this revenue to their investors. It's not a gift, it is literally them being a corporation.
Corporations are not your friend. They absolutely had to do something if they wanted to continue making money. That's all it's about in the end, if it wasn't profitable, they wouldn't do it.
I haven't seen any crap talk cc creators, just dissapointed, and can we blame people?
If they would have set expectations it wouldn't have been nearly as bad, but once again, they never improve on communication like they promise.
