For restaurants it helps to check out skills and traits of chefs and waiters. Low skill waiters will drop food, slob waiters will leave dirty dishes on your sims clean table, chefs with low skills won't be able to prepare certain dishes, etc. Make sure you have two cooking stations so you have two cooks, and 2-3 waiting stations placed around the restaurant, so waiters can easily clean tables. Put the host station in an easily accessible location so there are no routing issues. Last time I played I had issues with sims getting up from the table once their food arrived and eating it standing up in the middle of the restaurant. Not sure how to solve that. :lol:
