Weight Issues with Sims

Mine probably don’t gain that quickly, but I have had Sims that I don’t play with, gain weight., I have taken them to a restaurant ( if they are friends ) and ordered them the weight loss ice cream ( it came with cool kitchen ). Also if you are playing them rotationally have them establish and exercise routine. My sims that jog each morning or afternoon I play them don’t tend to put on weight. Fish taco’s is a good meal with few calories.

I noticed my sims gain a lot of weight if they eat when they are still in the green, so now I mostly feed them when they are in low red. There's also weight of the world icecream that makes them put on weight.

Ignore all other food - only feed them fruit or garden salad :grin:

My sims gain weight. A lot of it. I play in rotation and if I've not been to a household in rotation for awhile they gain weight. The npcs and some pre made do as well (only if I actively played as them such as Diego Lobo, I've never played as the Goths so their weight is exactly as it was from day one)

I had my sims create clubs where one activity was to work out and they would gather at the gym to mingle and work out. Then they started going "on their own" without the gathering whenever I took the active household to the gym. They're kind of a hot spot in my game because I've used them a lot.
Instead of gaining weight they gain muscle. A lot of it. If the rotation changes to other households showing up my sims lose the muscle "bulk" and then tend to gain weight based on how long they aren't in rotation. I try to also choose the healthier meals and leave them as leftovers. So they have garden and fruit salads in the fridge. Good luck in Myshuno, the food stalls put on weight real quick.

So they're either gaining weight or gaining muscle all completely dependent on how long I'm with them, or they're an active household that just shows up at the gym because they were recently in rotation or if they fall out of rotation they gain weight.

Some gain it faster than others and some gain muscle faster. Why that is, I'm not sure. Some are very lean at the gym and others look like body builders who skipped leg day. I just roll with it and cas edit occasionally if one gets out of control.

If they're my active household I try to let hunger get to orange.

two of my sims had gain a lot of weight though my gameplay the funny thing is every time they are wearing they sleepwear they became skinny untill i change theyr outfits.
the outfit i am talking about is a 2 pieces set with a panda on it the outfit came with tiny livning.

Thanks for all the replies & tips. Most of the time my Sims don't actually eat, unless they're Vampires and I'm trying to increase their power level through feeding. I use MCCC to auto fill needs, mainly due to my slow ar%e computer. If they do eat food it's like special occasions or if they have a day/night out a couple of times a week. Otherwise, no food intake, and they are exercising regularly (or at least they all have access to a home gym area). The weight gain doesn't bother me, it's just how quickly it's been happening. My first Sim gained weight over a period of about a 6 months in Sims time, like it crept up on her slowly, and then I just played a 'healthy lifestyle/get more exercise' type mini arc with her. It's only been recently that the weight gain (like really obvious weight gain) has been occurring in the space of 2-3 days.

The biggest problem I had with this was in university where all the unplayed room mates i Wywern Hall put on a lot of weight. I solved that by creating a gym club taking them to train Windenburg so both my Sim got his exersize as well as his room mates.

It's one of the ice cream options on the ice cream machine that came with that pack; however, I think it might only show up with higher level cooking skill. Which would explain why one of my chef sims is the one I most often see putting on weight faster than most of the other sims when I'm not playing her household.

That being said, I don't consider it a problem at all. She and her husband are a cute, chubby, loving couple, and I don't suddenly freak out when they gain weight. Fat people exist in the real world; fat sims exist in my game. I like my game to look like the real world: there are sims of all races, genders, and orientations; single sims, gay couples, interracial families, trans sims, sims of all ages and family compositions, and yeah, body diversity as well.

If there's a particular sim I have in mind as an athletic sim, or fit or thin for some storytelling reason, it takes five seconds to change them back in CAS. Or if they are trying to lose weight or get in shape for some specific storytelling reason (e.g., controlling spouse wants them to lose weight, they want to get on the soccer team, etc.), then it's just salads and the gym and yoga for a while. Otherwise, shrug.

This has been an "issue" since the game released in my game. I honestly get rid of it with a mod, but I don't consider it to be a bug. I believe it is intentional.
