Weight Issues with Sims

I've had this happen before, but it seemed to go away with one of the older patches/updates. Most recent update though, it's back again. I know the food Sims eat has calories, and too many sims calories + little to no exercise will result in a Sim gaining weight. I've had it happen to Sims before, but it's always been over a period of time and not, as has been happening again recently, a Sim literally going from their standard size to double that size in a period of less than 3 days, when a) The house is played rotationally and you've had no actual control over them for 3 sim days to make the eat their way through several fridges worth of food, and b) You see them out and about exercising at various gyms. At least this time it's not as bad as Sims doubling in weight after a single meal, but even so, I don't expect a rotationally played household to suddenly double in weight size in the 2-3 Sim days I'm not actively playing them.

Anyone else having this issue?

  • If the issue is with unplayed sims doing things in the background then you can take actions that affect that background behavior and make them exercise more. Like voting in the Rock Your Body NAP, or just giving them a soccer ball :)
  • yeah my sims double in size very fast idk what they put in their food these days

but also like tbh I don't mind it so much and if I don't want my sims be so big i just give them the insta lean potion thing or actually have them exercise like they realistically should

i remember in early days of sims 4 i was quite annoyed cause my sims wouldnt get fat from anything and so it felt quite weird to keep sending them to gym

only times it kinda annoys me is when every kid ever is overweight and doing motor stuff doesn't seem to change that

That would only work if one had the Eco Living pack. I skipped that one. I didn't wish to spend my Sims' entire lives cleaning up the universe.
